Overview
The Oregon Clean Vehicle Rebate Program (OCVRP) offers rebates for Oregon drivers who purchase or lease electric vehicles. Unlike tax credits, OCVRP offers a rebate at the point of sale or after purchase for eligible electric vehicles. How to apply.
This initiative, overseen by the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), aims to reduce vehicle emissions and promote the adoption of electric vehicles across the state.
The Oregon Clean Vehicle Rebate Program reopened on Thursday, May 22, 2025. Vehicles must be purchased or leased on or after that date. Any vehicles purchased or leased prior to May 22, 2025, while the program was suspended, are NOT eligible to apply for Oregon Clean Vehicle Rebates..
Due to limited funding, the Oregon Clean Vehicle Rebate Program will suspend the Standard Rebate only on Monday, Sept 8, 2025. To qualify for the Standard Rebate, you must buy or lease your vehicle from May 22, 2025, through Sept. 8, 2025. Purchases or leases made on or after Sept. 9 will not be eligible for the Standard Rebate. If you buy or lease a vehicle within the eligible timeframe, you still have six months from your purchase or lease date to apply. Applications approved after funding runs out will be placed on a waitlist to be paid in spring 2026. The income-based Charge Ahead Rebate remains available to eligible applicants.
